Now that Robin Baby-not is out of school, The Crew is managing more River Roadtrips. The weather has been cool, sometimes breezy, sometimes overcast. We love this type of weather--actually we love any kind of weather that isn't HOT. Anyway, we took a few pics, just to celebrate the perfect weather. Above is the defunct RR at the Freeport Bridge. There's another tweaked pic below--why the two didn't warp through cyberspace together remains a mystery. Black-winged Red Bird.
Tweaked RR pic.
Telephoto of the water tower, taken while crossing the Freeport Bridge.Aren't water towers a little like aliens? Like, who really knows if there's "water" in them, or what their true purpose really is. Have you ever known anyone who has any actual experience with them? Who built them in the first place? And doesn't this one look just like a spaceship? Hmmmm.
Friday, Robin graduated from Nail Technology School! Woo-woo!
And the Gang went out to Leatherby's to celebrate.from L-around the table to R

The Crew picked up Ben early yesterday morning, and after Jude did her stint with the physical therapist, we were off! Traveling north on Hwy. 49, we stopped at a few places to run some shovelfuls of dirt through our pans. All of which turned out to be a pretty good workout for Jude's knee--up and down mountains, over boulders, avoiding poison ivy, getting scratched with blackberry brambles. Jude had a GREAT time, topping everything off with a cold, snow-melt soak in the rivers. ***
Above is the secret place where Jude dredged for gold and had success, in one of her past lifetimes. Now Ben is holder of the secret. This place is many, many miles down a dirt road that ends in a too narrow, too rocky, too uneven, too steep, too scary descent. After surviving this road, The Crew decided to take another way back to civilization--a way that was not so scary, but much, much longer.
A snow-melt waterfall that ran across the dirt road on our exit from the secret gold place.
Jude's knee was tender, red, a little swollen, and totally worn out, but today--it feels great.
We must have another Adventure--and soon. All in favor, say "Aye!"
