Unexpected Maddog Roadtrip

On December 31st, Jude learned that Aunt Nola had joined Uncle Jim for a grand adventure in the eternities. Her viewing and funeral was scheduled for January 4th and 5th. The Crew hit the road on Dec. 31st, giving us two travel days (in case of winter weather) to get to Mom's in Logan. The roads were clear and mostly dry all the way.
We spent the night in Winnamucca. The temp was 25 degrees when Jude hit the sack, 26 degrees when she got up the next morn, and 24 degrees when we hit the road.
We turned off Hwy. 80 at Oasis, Nevada, and took this two-lane north to Utah. The Crew loves two-lanes, and drive them whenever we can.

Along the way, we saw two cattle dead in pastures. Of course Jude had to stop and Pixie had to take pics. As there were no signs of vehicle impact, or carnivore activity, we assumed they had succumbed to the freezing cold.

We saw two herds of antelope.

Sunset found us in Cache Valley, on the banks of the Little Bear River.
