Freeway at night.
Mystery. The Crew pulled into the stickhouse driveway last night, and the entire contents of the Nomad's radiator and overflow poured onto the driveway, leaving the radiator dead dry.
No engine overheating.
No signs of leaking hoses.
No signs of a cracked overflow bottle.
Jude filled the radiator & overflow with water this morning and took it to Quality. They tested radiator pressure, looked around with a flashlight, put the Nomad in the air and looked around, let the engine idle until the fan cycled on and off, told Jude to go for a ride with the AC on, then retested everything.
Nothing.
Nada.
Zip.
It's a mystery.
Jude drove to her Kelly job today, then back to the stickhouse. Everything hunky-dory.
It's an unsolved mystery.

NOW Baby granddaughter is due the end of July!

Spent this perfect day with Holly baby-not. Bought veggie garden stuff: manure, compost, seeds & plants. Loaded the whole shebang in the Nomad, then unloaded at the stickhouse. Went to lunch at Chevy's on the River. Shared a tostada salad. Poor service, bad service, no service--but we were outside, the river was green, the sky was blue, the day was windy. Couldn't get our bill (they were understaffed and over-diner-ized) and the manager waived payment, as in FREE lunch. Around sunset we got the Shadow Dog from the stickhouse and went to Freeport to fly kites.
Whoo-hoo!
Shadow Dog had fun too.

Another perfect day. Bird watching with binoculars & telescope.
A picnic, a book, and good company--even a stranger who stopped for a looksee out the telescope and a friendly chat.
Holly and the Shadow Dog pooped out and took a nap in the Nomad, the sound of honking Canadian geese populating their dreams with wild sweetness. Labels: Bird watching
