A Whale-ish Yellow-ish Sunset
So here Jude is almost at the end of August, just working away, when she gets an email about Sept. 3rd being Labor Day, ie. no work (& therefore no $). A day off! A holiday! That means a 3 day weekend. A Roadtrip!
With great excitement, the Crew decides on Bodega Bay. We' ll leave Friday after Jude gets off work and not have to be back in SacTown until Tues. afternoon. But. . . (And isn't there always a BUT?) . . .when Jude gets to the stickhouse and checks a calendar she discovers that she committed us to 10 days of housesitting. We should commit her! No Roadtrip for us this time.
So here we are, finishing up the housesitting, when we could've had a Roadtrip.
So. . . below are some pics taken in May when a mama and her baby whale took a side trip up the Sacramento River. We saw the whales in West Sac. Went after work one day and stayed until sunset.
