MONDAY—
Perhaps the truth depends on a walk around the lake. ——Wallace Stevens
The Nomad had her brakes re-done. Took from 7:30am to about noon. Seems a master cylinder that was replaced a month ago was defective. So the back brakes weren't working--and that ruined the front brakes because they had to do all the work. (Hmmm. Which brakes were male and which were female?) All was under warranty. Now we have the smell and the squeal of new pads to contend with.
Croc: Mmmmm. Smells good. Just like a MADDOG ROADTRIP!
Robin’s car wouldn’t start tonight and she had to be rescued. The Crew will see that her car gets to the shop in the morning, and she gets to work on time.
Today’s lesson was practicing the Zen of patience in vehicle ownership.
After class tonight, 9:20, The Crew parked and watched the remains of sunset. Although the sun had long-gone disappeared, there was still a mellow afterglow of palest pink against a settling gray night sky.
