TUESDAY--Countdown! 16 days to blastoff and am I feeling pressured.
#1--I gave myself a deadline of May 31st to finish Midnight Blues. That date has come and gone. Granted, the book was to be a novella of 13,000 words (and I did surpass that goal by the end of May), and now it is going to be closer to 50,000 words. To maintain sanity, I must come to the point where I'm willing to readjust my deadline goals to be in keeping with an evolving project. That's what the logical part of me says.

The Illogical Committee says, "May 31st! May 31st! See you've failed again! Work harder! Work harder! Do what we say you should do, when we say you should do it!"

The only logical thing to do is KILL THE COMMITTEE! I feel in the mood for a total engulfment of fire on the Weber, including the overuse of starter fuel, and 7-foot flames. The committee and I WILL be meeting tonight and only one of us will walk away. This time the odds are in my favor.

#2--Whenever I leave the stick house, I like my room to be clean. That includes the drawers, shelves and closet--all the things that are out of sight--as well as the obvious things in sight (like shampooing the carpet).

I already don't like coming back to the stick house and if I come back to a messy room, that is just way too depressing.

#3--The Nomad must be readied. This is an easy job.
#4--Materials and Mental Calmness for the Conference in Seaside, Oregon must be in place.
#5--Master has demanded some upgrades--and we all know how inflexible Master is.
#6--Supplies must be laid in for the baby-nots, AKA Robin and Heather.

Now that everything is down in writing, it seems more manageable, especially with the Illogical Committee being transformed into charcoal chips. I'll just have to come to terms with Midnight Blues being finished when its finished. And after all, Master is pleased with my progress.
