The Great (October) Escape--minus Steve McQueen
The Crew managed the perfect getaway today. No one was at the stickhouse, so no one knew we were escaping. This is the "washboard" blue sky in SacTown, a balmy 71 degrees, on Hwy. 50.
The higher we climbed the Sierras, the colder, cloudier, and grayer it got. Absolutely great MADDOG Adventure weather.
On the shores of South Lake Tahoe. 43 degrees, stormy clouds overhead and a gray lake. Fortunately, Jude keeps winter gear in The Nomad, or she would've been cold because The Crew would've made her walk along the lake anyway.
There were plenty of Canadian Geese enjoying the lake this day, whether in the water, on land, or flying overhead. Canadian Geese make Canadian Goose POO, so the walk went something like this: Hop. Jump. Squish.
The Crew loves the colder weather, so this day turned out to be the perfect Great Escape!
